Duty Changes March 2017

Excise duty rates increased one again in the March 2017 budget and take effect from Monday 13th March, however we will not be implementing the new duty rates to our customers until Monday 20th March to enable you to review your pricing and make any necessary amendments. Detailed below are the duty price increase on all our wines which take effect from 20th March: Still wines 75cl bottle  – 8p per bottle (5.5% – 15% ABV) Sparkling wine and champagne 75cl bottle – 10p per bottle (8.5% – 15% abv) Fortified wines (Port, sherry etc) 75cl bottle –  11p per bottle (15% – 22% abv) Spirits 70cl  – 30p per bottle (40% abv) Spirits 70cl – 35p per bottle (46% abv) Excise duty on all other bottle sizes/alcoholic strengths will be increased accordingly Please do not hesitate to contact us if you would like any more information.
